For the home blood test service, a Medfuture nurse can come to your home or office, five days a week, starting at 4 a.m. You will particularly appreciate this service if you have reduced mobility, work and require an appointment very early in the morning, need samples taken for your young child and prefer to keep them at home, etc.

IS A MEDICAL PRESCRIPTION NECESSARY FOR ALL MEDFUTURE SERVICES?
According to section 136 of the Public Health Protection Act, all laboratory analyzes require a medical prescription. For example, a medical prescription is required for pregnancy tests, blood type, toxicological profile (drug testing), allergy tests, etc. Note that there is no expiration date on this type of doctor's prescription.
DO I HAVE TO PRESENT MY HEALTH INSURANCE CARD WHEN PROVIDING YOUR SERVICES?
No. As a private clinic, we cannot make a request to the Ministry of Health and Social Services to obtain reimbursement for services rendered. This would amount to double billing. However, your health insurance number is necessary for your results to be added to your medical record and for this reason, it is preferable to provide it.
DO I HAVE TO PAY A FEE TO OPEN MY FILE?
No. No fees will be required for opening your file.
HOW CAN I ENSURE THE QUALITY OF CARE PROVIDED BY MEDFUTURE STAFF?
All Medfuture healthcare professionals are members of a professional order, either the Order of Nurses of Quebec or the Order of Auxiliary Nurses of Quebec. FROM WHAT AGE CAN MY CHILD RECEIVE HOME SERVICES?
Medfuture takes samples from children from the age of two weeks and vaccines from the age of four. Our equipment is adapted to the age of your child and our staff is qualified to work with this young clientele. Please note that your location may affect our ability to offer you the service for young children, in order to ensure the quality of the sample.
WHO ANALYZES THE SAMPLES AND HOW QUICKLY WILL MY DOCTOR RECEIVE THE RESULTS?
Medfuture works with recognized and accredited private medical analysis laboratories, ensuring the reliability of your laboratory tests. The results of most of your blood tests will be sent to your doctor within 24 hours. Some specialized genetic tests may take longer.
DO I HAVE TO PAY BEFORE OR AFTER YOUR SERVICES ARE PROVIDED?
Medfuture will send you an online invoice following your appointment with our nurse. You can pay directly via the secure Paypal link and your credit card. You can also pay during the appointment with a debit or credit card.
