New mental health consultation service

Medfuture is now offering its new mental health consultation service.

Mental health consultations are given by a nurse practitioner specializing in mental health (IPS-SM), for clients aged 16 and over. The IPS-SM is authorized to assess mental disorders and to intervene with people suffering from mental disorders and their loved ones using therapeutic interventions.

Mental health: essential for optimal overall health

Although mental disorders are often complex, they can be managed to give you a better quality of life. Our team is able to evaluate each case in an individualized manner and propose a series of actions aimed at improving the well-being of each person.

The initial mental health consultation includes:

• Telemedicine consultation lasting 30 minutes with a nurse to complete a medical questionnaire and first assessment
• 60-minute consultation with a mental health nurse practitioner
• Support by a health professional
• Prescription and medical certificate (if necessary)
• Laboratory request for blood test or other diagnostic test (if necessary)
• Medication prescription (if needed)
• Request for additional external and specialized services
